Schools

Schools teams are similar to both of our other categories of teams. They are similar to Friends & Family teams in that they are formed to celebrate, honor and remember family members and friends that have been touched by Breast Cancer. They are also similar to Corporate/Businesses teams in that they would generally participate in the race as a group wearing their own t-shirts and maybe holding signs recognizing their school. A School could be anything from a grade school to a university. Schools would fundraise individually toward a team goal, as they would generally not be financially sponsored by their school or organization.

If your team has a unique and memorable event we would love to hear about it.  We would also love to hear your stories about the 2011 race (e.g., How much money did you raise?  How did you raise that money?  Did you do something special for the survivor(s) on your team?).  Help us give other teams ideas on what they can do to promote fun and enthusiasm and how to raise funds for their own team!  Send stories, etc. to teams@komeneasternwashington.org.
